Vegan Soda Bread的食材和调料

Plant Milk or water1 cup/300ml
Lemon Juice or apple cider vinegar2 tbsp
Wholewheat Flour500g
Bicarbonate Soda1 tsp
Sea Salt1/2 tsp
Instant Oat or 1 flax egg optional1/4 cup

Vegan Soda Bread的做法步骤

  1. 第1步.

    Mix the soy milk and lemon juice in a jug and let sit for 5 minutes. This will curdle and thicken the soy milk as a vegan buttermilk substitute.

    Preheat your oven to 200C/360F.

  3. 第3步.

    Mix all of the dry ingredients until well combined.

  4. 第4步.

    Add the soy milk mixture and stir through until well combined. Slightly wet your hands and work the dough lightly with your hands to make sure it all combines.

    Place the dough onto a baking tray lines with non-stick parchment paper.

  6. 第6步.

    Bake for 20 - 25mins,check it, or 180c baked for 40 minutes in the centre of the oven.

usually you use between 1 to 2 teaspoons of baking powder per 1 cup (150 -140g) of flour.
For baking soda (which is used if the recipe has a considerable amount of acidic ingredients), use 1/4 teaspoon soda (1.25g) for each cup of flour.
